A literary archive can hold difficult truths without becoming a shelter for theft, exposure, threats or automated noise.

These standards protect expression while drawing lines around harm, theft and coercion.
1. The standard
RDC Unsaid welcomes poetry, shayari, ghazals, quotes and short stories across love, grief, desire, faith, politics, family, mortality and difficult human experience. A work is not removed merely because it is sad, angry, mature, controversial or uncomfortable.
The line is crossed when expression becomes rights infringement, targeted harm, exploitation, unlawful disclosure or manipulation of the platform.
No borrowed pulse
Attribution is not decoration. It is the minimum honesty owed to another writer.
2. Plagiarism and impersonation
- Do not copy, translate, paraphrase or lightly alter another person's work and present it as your own.
- Do not publish song lyrics, poems, private messages or substantial book passages without permission or a lawful basis.
- Do not use another writer's name or a confusingly similar identity.
- Do not fabricate quotations, endorsements, publication history or collaboration.
- Do not submit bulk machine-generated writing as human original work.
Write about life without stealing a life
Real experience can be transformed into art without exposing someone to avoidable harm.
3. Privacy, confidentiality and identifiable people
- Do not publish addresses, phone numbers, financial details, medical records, passwords, private photographs or other sensitive personal data without a lawful reason and necessary permission.
- Do not reproduce private correspondence or intimate messages where the other person's rights and expectations make publication irresponsible or unlawful.
- Take particular care with children, survivors, patients, clients, employees and people who cannot meaningfully consent.
- Change identifying details where the literary purpose does not require identification.
- Do not use the archive to pressure, shame, threaten or expose a private person.
No poetry-shaped weapon
The form may be literary. The impact can still be direct.
4. Threats, abuse and exploitation
RDC Unsaid does not permit credible threats, targeted harassment, hateful abuse, doxxing, encouragement of imminent violence, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate material, or content that facilitates abuse of a child.
Discussion, fictional treatment, memoir, witness and criticism may address violence or prejudice when the work does not itself target or endanger a person or protected group.
A poem is not immunity from consequences
Naming wrongdoing can be important; unsupported accusations can also cause serious harm.
5. Defamation and accusations
Do not use a poem, story or quote to publish specific damaging factual allegations about an identifiable person without a responsible basis. Satire, opinion and fictionalisation should not be used to disguise a targeted false claim.
RDC Unsaid may ask for context, remove identifying details or temporarily restrict a work while a complaint is reviewed.

Desire, bodies, addiction, self-harm, death and trauma may be written about with literary purpose.
6. Mature and sensitive material
Mature themes are allowed where lawful and responsibly presented. Content may be labelled, restricted or removed where it is exploitative, graphic without purpose, directed at a child, promotes dangerous conduct, or creates an immediate safety concern.
RDC Unsaid is not a crisis service. Where a submission indicates an immediate threat to life, the platform may take reasonable safety action and encourage contact with local emergency or crisis support.
One writer, not a content mill
The archive is meant to remain readable, human and intentional.
7. Spam, automation and manipulation
- Do not flood collections with repetitive, promotional or automated submissions.
- Do not buy, trade or manipulate reactions, comments, reports or visibility.
- Do not insert malicious links, affiliate spam, lead-generation copy or unrelated advertising.
- Do not create accounts to evade removal, suspension or rate limits.

The response depends on severity, context, history and risk.
8. What RDC Unsaid may do
RDC Unsaid may add a note, request a correction, recategorise, temporarily hide, remove, limit an account, suspend or close an account. Serious safety, exploitation or repeated infringement issues may lead to immediate action.
Where appropriate, the contributor will receive the reason and an opportunity to respond. Certain details may be withheld to protect a complainant, privacy or an investigation.
Report the page, not the person in the abstract
A precise report is easier to assess and harder to misuse.
9. How to report
Use the Report link on a contributor's public writing or the copyright and content complaint form. Include the exact URL, reason, explanation and evidence. Do not submit passwords, unnecessary medical information or unrelated private data.
Good-faith reports are welcome. Knowingly false, retaliatory or mass-coordinated reports may themselves breach these standards.
A concern about public writing
RDC Unsaid aims to acknowledge grievances within 24 hours and resolve matters within seven days where the issue is within its control.
