Revisions, Cancellations & Refunds
How creative refinement, changed plans and completed work are handled fairly.
Included refinement
A revision works within the agreed brief and creative direction.
1. What an included revision covers
The quotation states how many revision rounds are included. Unless it says otherwise, one consolidated revision round is included for a standard commission.
An included revision may address tone, word choice, factual correction, emphasis, rhythm, clarity and selected passages. It does not include a new brief, new audience, additional interview, new language, new format, materially longer work or replacement of the approved concept.
Comments should be consolidated and sent within seven days of draft delivery unless another period is agreed.
A new destination needs a new map
Scope changes are quoted before additional work begins.
2. Scope changes and extra rounds
RDC Unsaid will identify a request that falls outside the agreed scope and, where possible, provide an additional fee and schedule. The client may accept, reduce or decline that change.
Work will not automatically continue on an expanded scope merely because comments were sent. Urgent or fragmented revision requests may require rescheduling.
Move the chair before the conversation starts
Interview time is reserved and may not be easily refilled.
3. Interviews and rescheduling
A client may reschedule an interview by giving reasonable notice. Where less than 24 hours' notice is given, or an interview is missed, RDC Unsaid may count the session as used or charge a rescheduling fee if the quotation disclosed one.
Repeated changes may move the delivery window. RDC Unsaid will try to accommodate genuine emergencies.
The refundable part depends on the work already done
Creative work accumulates before the final page appears.
4. Cancellation by the client
A cancellation request must be made in writing. The following principles apply unless the quotation states a more specific schedule:

| After first draft delivery | Amounts paid are ordinarily non-refundable, but the included revision process remains available. |
| After final delivery or licensed use | No refund is ordinarily due, except for material non-delivery, a remedy agreed by RDC Unsaid, or mandatory legal rights. |
Dissatisfaction based solely on subjective taste does not automatically create a refund where the agreed brief and revision process were followed.
If RDC Unsaid cannot finish
The client should not fund work that will not be supplied.
5. Cancellation by RDC Unsaid
If RDC Unsaid cannot complete the project for a reason within its control, it will offer a reasonable revised schedule, substitute arrangement where appropriate, or refund the unearned part of the fee.
If the project is stopped because of unlawful instructions, abuse, non-payment, infringement, deception or material client breach, RDC Unsaid may retain amounts attributable to work completed and costs incurred.
Return through the original path where possible
Refund processing is different from the date a bank displays the credit.
6. Processing refunds
An approved refund is ordinarily initiated through the original payment method within seven business days. Banks and payment providers may take additional time to display it.
RDC Unsaid does not refund exchange-rate changes, taxes already remitted, non-recoverable gateway charges or third-party costs where the law permits those deductions and they were genuinely incurred.
Objects have their own journey
Printing and shipping introduce costs and damage risks beyond a digital file.
7. Printed and personalised products
Personalised or made-to-order physical products may not be cancellable after production begins, except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Report transit damage or a material production defect promptly with photographs and packaging details.
Minor colour, paper, screen or handmade variation is not necessarily a defect. RDC Unsaid will assess replacement or refund remedies fairly.
Policy cannot erase statute
Consumer remedies continue where applicable.
8. Legal rights and disputes
Nothing in this policy limits a right that cannot lawfully be excluded. A client should first email the project reference, issue and requested remedy. RDC Unsaid will review the scope, work completed, communications and applicable law.
Raise a change before it grows teeth
Include the project reference, current stage and the change, cancellation or refund requested.
