A letter to someone living, gone, distant or unreachable. It does not have to be sent.
Not every letter is written to arrive. Some are written because the words have been occupying a room inside you for too long. The person may be alive, gone, estranged, impossible to reach or sitting three feet away and still beyond language. You tell me what remains unsaid.
I will help give it a shape honest enough to keep. Sending it is optional. The relief is not. Sometimes the most important correspondence of our lives is the one that finally allows us to stop rehearsing it in our head.
How we work
- You reach out. Share the photograph, the person, the situation or the fragment - as much or as little as you can bear to. There is no correct brief.
- We agree the scope. Before anything is written, we settle what the piece is, its length and its intention. The commission is confirmed with a 50% advance.
- I write. The work is made for you alone, delivered within 5–7 working days. One considered revision is included so the words land exactly where they should.
Scope & confidentiality
Every commission begins with an agreed scope - what will be written, its length, its tone and its purpose - so there are no surprises on either side. Nothing is begun before that scope and the advance are settled together.
What you share stays private. Your story, your materials and the finished writing are treated as yours alone and are never published, resold or used elsewhere without your explicit, written consent. Where a commission is anonymous by design, that anonymity is protected without exception.
